Which is the diagnostic test of choice for intestinal form of Whipple´s disease (and what do you expect to see) ?

And which is for extraintestinal form ?

biopsy...u ll see lyphocytic infiltrate, AFB bacs,, eosinophils. Exxtra intest.. Arthritis?

whipple's ..... lymphnode or intestinal biopsy show foamy macrophages PAS +

diagnosis is the same for all the forms. the small intestinal is almost always involved!!!

for intestinal form you are correct

But in extraintestinal I´ve read it was PCR of RNA of T. whippelii. (CMDT)
