Could anyone tell me how competitice is Nuclear Medicine residency program as a FMG! I would deeeply appreciate thet! Any score limit or any other criteria? Please let me know about any positives and negatives about this Program as l am not very decive as for now!

most of the nuclear medicine programs donot participate in the NRMP. You have to contact the individual program directors. Also, u need to have one year Preliminary or transitional year training to start PGy2 in nuclear medicine.

the positive points are less amount of work, no night call, reasonable amount of money. the negative point is that there is very little doctor-patient interaction, u r exposed to radiations

Just tell me a thing that where do we find the contact info of the program directors of nuc medicine? Is it on FRieda?? Or do we have to visit each website sepaerately?
In case you have an idea then pls tell me what are the score requirements for the Nuc med??

Go t ofreida and you can get info about nuclear medicine.
Jobs are very limited in this field that is why this is so non competitive, so if you need a visa or have geographic limitations ditch this.

Could you also let me know that If private practice isn't the goal, then Hows nuc med? I want to stick with the teaching institution, also I'm intersted in research! Isn't it a good option then? If you know/think of any loopholes please let us know!

IF you do not require visa then chances are brighter.

The main problem is the radiologists too can read nuclear medicine, so getting jobsare difficult.

THe loophole is I do require a visa! An H1 /J1..

Getting visa and spot all are possible, but will you get a job with visa at end of course is the question.
Best of luck, if you plan to go for it, just to remind you you neeed a pgy1 position too.
