Can anybody plz tell me about the proper way to contact PD's?I mean ,if you call them up,how do you address them( madam/sir ; first name or what)?And can you directly ask about sponsorship of H1 ?Do you tell them about your scores & all even without being asked ? ............................

Call or Email the program coordinator. My name or the PD's name. If it's Dr. Bob Smith, then it's Dr. Smith (I know this seems elementary, but you couldn't believe the number of phone calls or emails that come to Dr. Bob.)
Ask about visa sponsoring and score requirements.
Not a problem.

Actually,I 'm an img ( based in California presently) with 95+ scores on my both steps & have already passed CS( all 1st attempts). My major concern is visa as I require an H1.Officially,none of the programs in Ca seem to sponsor H1 visa but I read somewhere that some of these programs might consider a candidate for H1 based on his/her credentials. Could you please help me with this as to how to approach the program-director for H1 visa sponsorship if they don't overtly advertise the same?
