Hi everyone...I'm a new poster here but have been reading the forum for a while...it's been a huge help. I took step 1 on 6/14 and got a survey in the mail from NBME today asking what I thought about the test, how much time I studied, whether I took a review course, etc. It doesn't say I was randomly selected, just that I was selected and it also states that my survey responses will be linked to my test (but won't have an effect on my score). My question is this: does this have any significant meaning about how I did (really well or really poorly), or is it something normal that a certain number of examinees get? It scared me to get mail from NBME so soon, I wasn't expecting my score for another week at least. Thanks for all of your help in advance.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. If the surveys are based on scores, they would still want to get surveys from the full spectrum of scores, and not just from the outliers. So, you'll probably just have to wait until around July 20 to find out how you did.
