Hey guys,

well, now this step is behind too(i made step-2CK earlier)

first of all , thanks for all who contribute to this forum.i follow the forums from this site since spring 2004,when i started my usmle route from preparation to step-2CK & scoring 98/242 .Now I just finished the internship year in my home country, and my main preparation was for during my last 5 mo of the internship.

So,my step 1 experience: i 'm in doubt if i can provide any new info regarding strategies for preparation or most frequent material being asked,as the're thousands of 'post topics' before this one , who cover very comprehensively. But i can ensure, that the exam is overall fair.Of course, the're always many awful MCQs.But we never now what MCQs are eliminated during the score processing.(see tips for the exam day in www.kaptest.com)

i studied from FA,Qbook,Qbank,BSS.As the basic sciences were old material for me ,i got to refresh my memory & catch-up many gaps.

Thus, the bottom line is - construct your plan for preparation for your own pace, know well FA & have a good rest before the exam day.And very important thing is to take your step-2CK as soon as possible to step-1 or vice a versa.Because the diseases which asked, are common encountered diseases(i mean common for books reviews, not in real life :nodsmiling face, which just asked from different points of view,i.e - the etiopathologic side vs clinical side.
