I have passed step 1 &2,awaiting step2 cs results.I intend to apply for a variety of states to get residency for 2006 where do I sit step 3?I am an IMG in UK and my 7 years are up end of dec 2005 so Ihave to sit step 3 before actually doing residency.Someone please advice.I am married to a Green Card holder so visa is not an issue.

To take test in 2005 you have to apply for Step 3 till the end of August . You can do that on line - go to FSMB website , then look up USMLE and Step 3 on the left side of page . Apply for Step 3 through Connecticut ( you just have to put this state as the sponsoring on your application ) . Then you can take the test in any state you want and the results are valid in all states .

Hi, I have been told by the board that the fastest to get your papers is actually California. I would try that.

hi, is there anybody going to take step 3 in california end of this november? since the application deadline is 1st sept. that means most probably the eligibility period will be from sept to november. feel very stressed.
