a 17 y.o lady (gravida 2 para2) whi delivered a 3800g male neonate 40min ago has continued to bleed moderately since the delivery. even though the uterine fundus feels well contracted, the placenta has not seperated. which of the following is the Least likely cause of this condition?

a) succenturiate lobed

b) placenta increta

c) placenta percreta

d) placenta accreta

e) bilobed placenta

this is a case of postpartum bleeding due to retained placenta.

placenta percreta, in which trophob. villi pernetrate the ful thickness of the uterine serousa, is a very rare situation, so of the ans given, it is the least likely.
