Hi, I'm new in this forum. I would like to ask you about my chances in Matching 2006. I want to get ENT residency. I know it is very tough... I'm an old graduade, working in ENT for 13 years. I'm finishing my PhD in my homeland this year, i have some publications... i have 2 US LORs from excelent clinics. I have no step's exam yet. I have been studying for all of them for 1 year (didn't take any). My plan is: take step1 in first week on August, step2CK in middle Oct, step2CS in late Oct. I believe i'll pass all of them.... Please, write your comments, advices.... Is any chance I'll get ENT residency? thank you in advance for your comments and advices.

ent is a very tough residency to get in !!!! though ur ent background is a plus.......'old img' is a definite minus....u got to balance it out with very good scores & even better contacts ! try working/ doing observership with some surgeon....spend time in research/anything to prove ur worth....may even need a year....but if u want u can do it ! my friend (IMG) got into a very good univ-ent program after working his butt off in the same prog for 12-14 months!! tough but possible ! GL dude !
