HI GUYS,

I JUST FAILED STEP1 AND IAM REALLY FEELING LOW AND DOWN AND I THOUGHT I DID WHAT EVER I COULD TO SCORE WELL BUT I GUESS THAT WASNT ENOUGH..I DONT KNOW WHERE TO START NOW..CAN SOMEONE HELP ME WITH THE RIGHT INFO PLEASE..HOW LONG SHOULD I NEED TO BE COMPLETELY READY FOR THIS EXAM AND HOW MANY QUESTIONS SHOULD I DO A DAY AND WHAT ARE THE WAYS THAT I CAN MAKE MY REVIEWS EFFICIENTLY...PLEASE SOME ONE HELP ME..

also the time u had spent on step 1 study

hello Kutty:
i am really sorry to hear about your step1. don't give up though. take a deep breath; and think about the future....start with good sources..i think kaplan is more than enough....even if you failed study kaplan; stick with it; do qbank 3moths; and hit it hard everyday.for 8hrs/day for 6 moths...this is an easy exam once you know the basics; trust me; i was also in your situation; thinking about the exam day and night; don't let the exam control your life or take over you; you should try to put your feet on the exam and control it. like you step on ant. don't let it ruin your life or emotions......start fresh with kaplan, and always think positive...do kaplan, do kaplan do kaplan day and night. keep hitting it; while you are studying it; write down what ever seems to be difficult for you; or you could mark that page; and after each time you get through with whole kaplan books; hit those pages that you marked may be 3 to 4 times.........see the thing is repitition.....repitition.......i was almost crying having to go through so many books; sticking with kaplan should be more than enough..................GOOD LUCK...and always smile......life is not worth getting stressed out.............remeber what you are achieving is something worth it.......enjoy life while you are studying....go and get enrolled in a gym to be active...............

hi kutty, well...i'm sorry but don't give up, take some time off and start all over again and yes be positive.....

how did u know about yr result, by oasis trick?? i'm still waiting for my result and i'm nervous about it now. when did u do yr exam?? i did mine on 2/06.

hi maa ,ur words r really inspiring ,thanks alot .i m just spending d whole day studying ,joining in gym?is that a good idea....i thought i will get tired after working out in gym,don't u think so?

hi karusmle: i think you will be more active that way; looking at new faces in the gym and try to live like a normal person. don't let the exam get you, do whatever you feel like that would motivate you either swim, jog, bicycle etc....besides studying have some activity so you are connected with the world.........since we have to sit down at one chair for hours and hours, it is better to jog; i joined a gym at 24 hr fitness; i was doing aerobic + light weights;...i certainly think it sure helps a person...............thanks again

hi maa,u r really great!the best mail i read in this forum.really inspiring!i'll also join a gym,u r right-shud remain connected with the world.r u done with the step?i'm new t this forum,planning t take up exam in march 2006,i'm an IMG residing in california.

Kutty, you are getting good feedback. Hang in there. By the way, you asked about being tired by joining the gym. The point is to get your blood flowing and give you more energy. Don't .... train for a marathon (exept step one). Just walk on a treadmill and let your mind focus on a healthy mind, body, and spirit. It will help.

I usually tend to my garden at least 30 mins. in the am & 15 mins in the pm to relieve my stress. I now talk to myself sometimes. Don't get me wrong just talking w/ the flowers abt Biochem while watering the plants. Hey that makes me sane!



Good Luck to you. You'll surely make it next time. just don't give up!
