Dear colleagues,
I am currently studying the ANS. I find it boring and full of details.
Need help going about it, and what stuff is really important to remember!

Would appreciate your comments and advice

Ill give 3 or 4 points

I Its a general visceral motor system that controsls smooth muscle , cardiac muscle, and glands

II--3 divisions Sympathetic ( flight or flight response) Parasympathetic
(Think of this as housekeeping) Enteric includes the submucosal and
myenteric plexus
III Acetylcholine is the preganglionic neurotransmitter. NE is the post-
ganglionic neurotransmitter ( except sweat glands and some bv)
Dopamine is neuro transmitter of fluorescent cells in the symp.
ganglia

I will make this the backbone for my study and get back to it whenever I feel lost in the details.

Do not forget that like the sweat glands the adrenal glands use ACh and is preganglionic in simpathetic system
The Parasympathetic has the largest preGang fiber and the shortest post Gang, the sympathetic syetem viceversa
