yes thts wht the book says but i can never understand it to be hypotonic loss,as there is loss of water & salt,it should be isotonic loss,as during sweating we r always recommended to drink salt dissolved in water,if it is hypotonic then only water should help to replace the loss....can u explain it to me plz?

Most sweat glands are eccrine glands and Eccrine sweat is an ultrafiltrate of plasma forming a colorless, hypotonic solution that is 99% water and 1% solutes including sodium, chloride, potassium, calcium, urea, ammonia, uric acid and phosphorus. Aldosterone increases the reabsorption of sodium from sweat. So sweat is hypotonic not isotonic and i ve never heard recommended to drink salt dissolved in water when sweating
