hi, i have done residency (pathology)from india.i am now in u.s. and plan to go back to india after 4-5-years.please suggest what would be better for me-1)to take usmle and do residency here OR2)join PhD in mol.biology/immunology and do that .
any advice would be highly appreciated

Why do you want to go back to India after 4-5years?What was your purpose to come to US in the first place?I think Ph.D sounds like a better option for you because if you're not sure what you want to do....then atleast in Ph.D it will give you time to think what really you want and also help increase your qualifications.During your Ph.D if you feel you wanna give the USMLE then study for it and give them whilst going on with the Ph.D.Hope this helps!
