My IM program interviews and hires doctors who have never practiced medicine in the USA every year. My only question is that if you have visa problems that you can't come to the USA, how will you complete the ECFMG certification and interviews?

Again, my program hires people every year who have never completed an externship or observership in the USA. It's not a mandatory that you have USCE. If you have strong letters from your school and physicians who know your work, it should be fine.

White - you want to get the best LOR that you can get. If these are the individuals that you have chosen, then so be it. Check the ECFMG web sites or do a google search for LOR formats. Please remember that by the time that I get a letter, it's been written - usually in another country
