what is the definite diagnostic procedures for primary hyperparathyroidism?

Usually itīs asymptomatic, thus, the first test you have is hyperCa, hypoP, then you ask for a PTH (elevated in primary hyperparathyroidism; if itīs low, it can me a malignancy with an PTHr-protein) There is also the IRMA (immunoradiometric assay) to diagnose primary hyperparathyroidism.

ok....definite diagnosis of primary hyperparathyroidism is made only by sugical exploration of the neck.. an experienced surgeon can completely remove the adenoma in most patients
