Kaplan Qbank USMLE

I promised to myself when I got started to send posts to this forum.I promised I would have posted the result of my test no matter what the result.
I took the test on May 21 in New York.I thought I was prepared.I actually took Kaplan live lectures and practice on the UW database only.
The test was absolutely insane!!!Everything was so complicated and the questions so long, most of the times I needed to scroll down to read the whole thing.Only in few questions I had a clear idea of what was going on.Many times I had to follow my "instinct",so many things seemed not to make sense at all...
I am sincere, guys, after the first block I thought about leaving and retiring on the top of a tree of a couple of months. And another cool thing was that the air conditioning was out of service in the Prometric Center the day of my exam!!!I was really roasting for the rage and for the hot!!!
And you know what happened...
I PASSED!!!AND I TOOK 238/96!!!
I must confess that if someone would have told me that it was more likely to see an alien or a space ship than for me to pass and get this score...well,I really would have believed him with all my heart. This was the craziest test I've ever had.
The best of luck to anybody have already taken or is going to take this test.
If I can give you a little advice based on my own experience I could tell you not to get lost in the questions and not to be scared to follow your "instincts" and pick the answers that makes more sense to you, even if it seems a "risky" pick up.And never assume to have done well or bad at the end of the test, because this test is really really really insane.
Bye.

Thank you,Ria,thanks a lot.I still have to realized that this is over...
Anyway about the preparation:I took Kaplan live lectures from january to the mid-march.After that,I reviewed my notes and practised on the UW database.I did the Kaplan Qbook as well and one block of the Kaplan simulated exam.I took the test the third week of May and I worked at the same time. But I took the last 2 weeks off and practise 24/7 on UW database, doing again all the questions and studying the explanations.
I didn't use any extra-material,even though after the test I cursed myself not to have done it...But I did well,I really cannot give an explanation.I would have liked to practise on the NBME simulated exam, but I knew about it just 2 days before my exam and I though it didn't worth to take it so close.
About all the other material I really cannot tell you much, but there were a lot of weird questions about prevention stuff, pediatric nutrition stuff and even the easiest questions have tricky sets of answers.
Probably the hardest thing in this exam is to stay focused and to keep the track with the "questions' reasoning" and not to panic.
If you need any other information that I could know, please don't esitate to send me a post.
Bye and thanks again for your congrats.
