I called ECFMG to ask today. I can postpone my step2 CK to March 2006 and step1 to December 2005 that mean I have 3 months after finish step1 to get step2 CK. Well, let it be...Just do my best!!

hi guys,thank god i completed my beh science and moving forward for next subject. i did 100mcqs also which r in the end of that book but have to do q book as well,i will complete first test soon,,don't know about sec test? well have to start new subject which is micro and immuno.

hope u r doing great and busy with studies according to plan. my studies r going so for ok.as usuall can't study properly on weekend b/c of some problem but have to catch target today or tomorrow.right now doing micro/immuno.
what about u guys what r u studying? no post from last 3 or 4 days?

:: The Fifth Week ::
Hi Guys, Hi Shalu and drworm. As before, I couldn't study in the weekend. I just finished Embryology and will start study Goljan Pathology today. I got his audio and tried to listen last week. It's quite hard for me... not because of the content but it's because of the English. I don't use English as my native language and thus it's quite difficult for me to understand what he just said. I had to repeat again and again but just for the accent though. When I got what he said, it's very good for high yield. Last week it was just a scanning for the audio but today I will seriously start studying with it.
Ok, I will post my progression everyday so that we can push each other!!

Hi guys! Weekends are slow for everyone so keep pushing urselves. used2Bdoc if you are having a hard time getting used to the accent, try to follow the audio along with the lecture notes. That might be easier.

Hi Used2Bdoc, drworm, shalu, Hope your preparation is coming along well. Weekends are indeed slow for all of us. Hope you get used to the accent very soon used2Bdoc, try listening to the radio or TV when you are not studying. That may help with familiarity. All the best!

Hi Guys, Thanks for all you support. Now I'm still studying with Goljan. Just some problem of listening affected me but not much. What I did was repeating listening or ask my husband to help me. Hope you guys do your job very well!

Hi All, Today I'm satisfied myself with studying although still doing with Pathology. Huh.. It's quite hard to just review pathology without reviewing of Biochemistry and Immunology because it's quite integration of your knowledge. What do you do with this guys? Studying pathology with other subject in the same time or just do it independently.

hope u all r doing great. me as usuall doing ok and busy with study plan but trying to complete the goal. so for completed immuno and did Q also and progress is good.have to complete micro but more specifically charts and have t complete bacteriology and virology portion and all others also..so for done with bactriology portion also but still have to do.

Hi Guys, Happy Weekend!! It's very hot here but so weird that I can study this weekend. Nice to look at the clear blue sky and study. Now I change my method for studying. At first, I just studied one by one subject independently. It's so boring. Now I'm study two subject in the same day, Physiology in the morning and pathology in the afternoon. It make me be fun with those stuff more. Good luck to you, the reader!!

Hi everyone, How's your studying in the weekend? For me, It's not bad!!! The weather here is very nice with sunny that made me study more. I'm still working with Pathology and physiology in the same time. I accomplished my goal day by day that is what I need. I plan to have an exam in December... how about you guys?

Hi! I was wondering if I can join your group.I was reading your prep journal and I found out that we're almost in a similar study timeline.I'm planning to take my Step 1 exam (for the 2nd time  ) on Oct 3. I've been studying since the end of June and currently on my 5th week of review. I took Step 2 Ck already last June and luckily, I passed.Still awaiting my score in the mail.I will take my CS on Nov 2. I plan to match for 2006 if I can make it in time.
I've decided to use Kaplan, Goljan, FA and qbook as my sources to tackle this exam.I've already done 1 reading of Kaplan Biochem (with videos) and FA and qbook, Goljan audio and notes, FA Patho, qbook. I've done Kaplan Physio + videos but will take some notes down later or tom and do qbook for it also. And if I have time later, I will read FA for Physio.
I figured if I join an online prep journal, I would be more motivated to study and I can also take note of my progress.

Hi everybody and welcome DrMary to join us! How are you guys? Shalu, I didn't hear from you for a long time. HOw's everything going? Wow..DrMary, I'm glad with you that you passed step2 already. Your preparation for step1 sounds good too. You finished many thing in 5 weeks that was very good. Yes, I got motivation from this journal too. It helps!
For me, last week was quite slow. I didn't progress much for my work but still doing physiology from BRS and pathology from Goljan as well. I wish I can do more this week.

sorry i couldn't write from long time.hope u all r doing good. my studies r going sofor good.almost going to complete biochem but today i started pharma little bit also b/c i got tired with biochem. well hopefully will complete biochem tomorrow and then will do pharma.how about u guys? trying to do QBOOK in night time but reading explanation is taking little bit time. but i have to do.

Hi guys!I was not able to move on from Physio. I just finished qbook and score 56 and 50. Do you guys have any tips for me?I read the book 2x already but its so hard to answer those questions in the qbook! Should I try reading BRS or just stick with Kaplan? Or go onto Pharm?Help!

Hi Everyone! How are you all? I decided to use Med Micro MRS instead of the Kaplan and it was great! I doing Immuno Kaplan now and will do qbook for Micro/Immuno for it later. I've started with Anatomy but stopped since I got bored with it. Will continue where I left off later (Gross Anatomy - Back/thorax). If all goes as planned, I will be doing my 2nd reading by Mon or Tues. Will head off to a bookstore later and stay til closing time so I can really accomplish alot.
Has anybody done Physiology qbank? Is is good? Or should I just enroll in the 1 month qBank?

Hi! Been delayed with review for the past week bec I Finished with Micro/Immuno.Stayed with Kaplan.Got 67% in qbook. Doing Anatomy now.Reading is slow esp this labor day weekend but I do hope to get it done by tom or Tues. I'm not sure if I'll be ready by Oct 3....but lets just see.
