sorry friends question has been put in wrong manner the choices should be

median effective dose ----toxic dose/effectivedose

.5x---2.8

1x----2.1

5x----4.0

33x----3.0

toxic dose herapeutic dose =therapeutic index,lesser the value higher the risk for toxicity

it should be 1x----2.1?

therapeutic index only tells us the ratio but in terms of absolute numbers we must know ED50

for eg. ratio of 2 = 100/50 (range 50x-100x) = 2/1 (range 1x-2x)
