How would you differentiate Autism from Asperger's Syndrome?

Asperger disorder is a form of pervasive developmental disorder characterized by severe impairment in social interactions and restricted interests and behaviors. this disorder lacks delays in developments on language, cognitive function and self-help. Autistic disorder starts at the age of 3 years and there's lack of awareness of other people's feelings and lack of being able to play with others. autisitc children are self abosorbed and are not able to relate to other children or their parents. they can play alone happily for hours and get throw temper tantrums if they are interrupted. they want everything to be about them. also there maybe cognitive impairment, abnormally increased or decreased reactivity to stimuli.

right... in short Autism- withdrawal fr. interactions w/ others -failure to use speech for communication Asperger's Syndrome- social interaction deficit but no language delay.

yes, agree. Only something: Autism must start before age of 3 for diagnosis (itīs a criteria).
