hey!! first of all congratulations!!! i wanna have that score too!!  i am wondering if i only have two month to prepare.. will it be enought?? which books do you recomend me?? i live here in south america, Paraguay exactly and there only a few ppl that wanna take the USMLE and they have no idea where to study from.... please give me some advice.. thanks a lot!!!

CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU ON YOUR GREAT SCORE!! You said you did Goljan Stars Pathology. I'm currently reading Goljan Stars Pathology(the big book) and then I practice questions in the Stars Pathology Review. Do you think everything in that book has enough for what we need to know to do well on USMLE like you did?? I also read BRS Pathology too. Please let me know....

hi..my hearty congrats. i did medicine in bulgaria in the bulgarian language..iam from india.now iam giving step 1.so iam facing a difficulty during my 1st reading.but in 2nd reading iam finishing revision fastly.u said many questions from cell bio...is it from histolgy? i have completed imunology,microb, path,pharmac,neuro anatomy,embriology.iam reading all the material only from kaplan books..and goljan review. iam doing biochem also only from kaplan...is it enough?for me getting goodscore 85+ is enough....
so please tell me, anatomy, pharmacology,biochem,...what books i should read..and what topics(mainly)....and what about beh.sc...what topics i should read from kaplan netes?because some persons r saying no need to read beh.science all topics...should i read from barbara fadem or what?...i think u can understand studying in a different language and giving mle how much difficulty it will make...so please give me the suggestion which helps me to get a nice score.

hi mavarick....congratss on your great success...i read ur exam experience and i liked it very much..i felt you were oriented and knew what were you doing.....what do you mean by "didn't give" about some of the preparation exams you mentioned?such as kaplan cd and NBME??do you mean you didn't go through them at all??
another thing, i have goljan stars, and i hear them talking about goljan 500 pages,100 high yeild pages and so on..is goljan stars enough???i have kaplan patho also..what do u advice me??

Hi i am a very junior student and i am in 3rd year i have decided to give usmle step 1 at ungraduate level approximatly at the end of 4th year or in start of final year i have very few guide line can u give me some ref or guide line what should i do .write now i did one reading of kaplan of following sub physiology and biochem and i am doing kalan pharma and patho with my 3rd year what should i do plz guid me in detail can i do this tough job it is so difficult but i think if u control ur will so u can do every thing

dear maverick, i have problem in pharmac,patho and beh science. can u advice which books and how do study for these subject. i do have only kaplan lecture notes for these 3 subjects but no review books. i need ur help. am i missing on something or only lecture notes available for them.thanks

well mine is in december,just started with kap dvds,do u suggest i do Qbank along with the subj. I cover ....as in the last days u suggest its better to revise??

Hi , Congratulations on your superb result! I wish i get a result like that when I do my step 1 next year!!
The problem I am having is that everyone is advising about getting Kaplan's series but I already have many books and they are still new on all these subjects except : Microbiology and behavioural science.
Do I need to buy books from the beginning if I want to get such a score like yours? Also what books do u advice for microbiology and behavioural science?
Thanks alot and any advice would help
