Is it not acanthamoeba? Then why is acanthamoeba so imp for boards ... something about contact lens wearers-that is for sure.

airborne cycts of acanthamoeba can contrminate lens sloution but still MC is p.aeruginosa

Acanthamoeba cysts live in water. I don't believe they're airborne. They can contaminate improperly prepared and sterilized contact lens solutions.

i always thought of p.aeruginosa as an obigate aerobe but in qbank in one explanation it was mentioned tht p.aeruginosa is a facultative aerobe ..... can u plz throw some light on this?

Pseudomonas aeruginosa will not grow anaerobically, only aerobically. We use it as a control to test if our anaerobic conditions are absolute. If the Pseudo is growing, some oxygen got in there somewhere.
