Well, my result for step 2 was reported on Apr 2 but I didn't receive the score yet .... so I tried to apply at OASIS and the trick is working ... they didn't let me to go through the application process :wink:

i heard 2 of my friends use the same tricks and it worked!
however it didnt work to one of my friend. they took the money and yet, he passed. i dont know what happened later

The trick works only if the score is reported on the OASIS site otherwise I wouldn't try to risk loosing the money.

that's really awesome. it OASIS trick worked for me as well for step1.
wow, i didn't know about that it might not work, definitely not going to go through with the application then, until i see the results!

Actually when they ask you to choose what do you want to apply for and right after that window you see a new one with a red text. Yeah it's sad if you go through the application again.

it only works once the OASIS website says that your score has already been posted/mailed out to your mailing address. you try and register for the exam you had taken. if the application process starts, then it means that you have to take the exam again. in other words, you failed. you don't know your score. it is just pass/fail. and also try not that to do this until your score is posted because you might get charged even if you passed.

This trick always works. You have to see if your info is posted on the oasis web site, you know after you get your password, see if your information is updated. If its not, then you will go through even if you passed. It will not tell you your actual score, just if you passed or failed.

Can u tell me more about the trick? It is for a low score or for what? It doesn't matter if you have already got the result? You make a new application and take the exam again? It works also for Step 1?

It seems to work only if your result has been reported on oasis site before you receive the result in your mail. If you pass probably you can't apply again.

Log in with your USMLE/ECFMG ID # and password and see if the score is reported.
If you are a first time user open an account.

To Sum Up....
The Oasis Trick allows you to know your pass/fail status for the exam you took.
When your test is graded, the score is simultaneously reported to you (by regular mail) and to OASIS (by electronic submition). Thus, by consulting OASIS, you can tell if you passed or not, before the results arrive to your home by mail.
OASIS is not originally designed to tell you this information. That´s why, we use a trick to find out. But be aware!!! for the trick to work, THE RESULTS MUST HAVE BEEN REPORTED TO OASIS :!: Otherwise you might loose your money. (this takes about 3 weeks). To find out if the results have been reported, just log in to OASIS, and just click on the obvious links.
Once you know FOR A FACT, that OASIS knows your results, you have to try to aply again for the exam you took. If the aplication system allows you to go throug the aplication process, that means you flunked the exam. If you are NOT allowed to continue... be happy, party, because you have most probably passed.
NOW... a Question... :?:
Suppose I failed, but I don´t know that yet.
I log in to OASIS.. and find out that the score have been reported.
I try to apply, and the system allows me to go forward...
But Actually, I DO NOT WANT to apply... that is... I am not ready yet to re-take the exam. Is there a way to prevent re-applying in case you failed?? :?: :?

Can you try the Oasis trick 2 weeks after your exam? I tried this trick and i got a red messsage?

hi must mean u pass congrats. my brother took the exam n in 13 days he had the result already sent in mail at home to him, it was so quick.

I don´t want to reapply!!! And I am afraid to do the trick, because I do not want to be charged with another application fee.

:oops: Sorry... I don´t mean to flood the forum... but...
I Got It :!:
I tryed to reapply for USMLE Step 1 even though the results are not yet posted in OASIS and I got a red lettered message saying something like I had already applied. Furthermore... It won´t let me go passed that stage in the application process...
Hope this works... i guess now i should just wait for the letter with the score....
