How do you diagnose these 2 dyscrasias and what fancy but cost effective and efficient tests could you use so you don't embarrass yourself in front of the attending and the team??

diverticulosis -

localized bleeding mild to moderate - colonoscopy

stable severe bleeding - angiography

follow up - endoscopy

diverticulitis - CT +ve with fever n leukocytosis ........... diverticulitis

CT +ve without it ........... IBS

SHOULD NOT DO barium n colonoscopy in acute state performed only before surgery
