hi does anyone know if u register and dont take a test within your eliibility or extended eligibility period ..how does that effect ur match later or it doesnt effect at all ..please someone clarify ..i was registered for step2 ck and ended up not taking it and now my extended eligibility has also expired ..will it effect my transcripts later..i cancelled my test a day before i was supposed to take .

I did this. I don't think it affected my match results. But I guess I'll never know. My transcript did say that I had registered but did not schedule/sit for my exam. Just make sure when you apply, you have at least one good step score in. Then they won't worry about it.

actually i didnt take the test as i wasnt feeling confident enough to go ahead with it and someone advised me that number of attempts actually affect your residency application ..so i got scared and got my exam cancelled now i will reapply and take the test in july..again i am wondering if it shows on your transcript that u registered and didnt appear ..do residency directors count it towrds an attempt ..i am really scared ..someone who has gone thru the same thing please advise

uhm, that's what I said. I scheduled, but didn't take my test. Yes, it will appear on your transcript saying you registered but did not schedule/take your exam. No, I don't think it matters. I did quite well in the match.
