hello everone,
i had taken my step 2 CS in atlanta in 4th week of april .
i am glad to tell u all that i had passed .i had been an active part of this site since last 5months and it helped me a lot in knowing others experiences and correcting myself and preparing my best for this exam.
i had read from UW read only once all cases ,first aid and OSCE full and referred kaplan for pt note writing only .
once again thanks everyone who are part of this great site .
now preparing for last of hudles step 2 CK

hello ,
as i told i am busy with the step 2 CK so couldn't reply soon .
the exam infact wasn't that tough as thought ,and the prep materials i told u guys already what i prepared and i took 3 months to prepare .the exam as usual consisted of 12 cases and the time just flies away like that without feeling that u have completed the exam too and its usual for everyone to feel that they didn't do well after the exam as the scenario will be like that ,that even if u perform 100% u still feel maybe u could have done that better etc etc .
the day starts off when everyone comes ,if its before then they will start early also before the scheduled time orelse they will wait till the time and then with the introduction to the CS and the equipment which u will be allowed to take a look at and that will be the first break of the day .
then the cases will be there ,the rooms and the stations will be exactly like that in the CS cd sent by USMLE people ,the cases will range from difficult to easy depends on that day ,basically any case can come out of the books which u read ,so don't go on previous days cases as they won't be same or they can be same too ,but u can't be sure on previous days what cases came will come on that day .
then u will have 5 cases then a break of 15-30min roughly ,then another 4 cases then another break of 15min and then last 3 cases the whole thing will finish off by 3.30 or 4pm maybe for morning session .
overall the SPs will be very well acting ,and many people told me that they will look like they are not impressed by u,but i never felt that way .the proctors were very good in atlanta ,with some jokes in between and very very helpful in every way .the SPs also will be very cooperative infact and the language understanding won't be a problem for u nor they will have any problem with our language ,most of the times they will talk very slowly which anyone can understand.
but my advice for everyone who is appearing is practice ,practice and more practice as thats more important than nything else including practice case writing too .
FOR BHARAT :
the results are nowadays coming in 1 and half month on oasis .mine took infact just 40days ,but my friend she is still waiting she also took the CS on same date .so it depends maybe even if u take on same day .but i think 1 and half month u can think for .
