Hello there,
How imp is step-3 if you have agreen card??my scores are 83 and 76.Right now doing research in pulmanary medicine.ihave to work hard to get my paper published....was planning to give step-3 but hardly get time to study..idont want to flunk with out studying and iam scared that if igive without much preparation imight not get good scores.How imp is step- 3 any way if you dont have visa issues??? if iam planning to apply to IM and peds does it play any imp role???How imp are scores in step-3???.Thanks

if you don't need a visa, like myself, you don't need step III. I am only going to take it after internship. for you, good step III scores might help improve your situation ... but if you don't need a visa, I bet you can find something somewhere.

If you have a green card, you won't need step three until you are getting ready for a permanent license - usually in your PGY3.
