sleep walking, sleep terror or night terror, enuresis=stage 3 and 4 -delta
In stage 3 and 4 brain is not active -hence cannot be recalled.
Nightmare disorder -remember 3 R = Repetitive, recall,REM sleep =brain is active ,hence it can be recalled.

What do you base this statement on please? To my knowledge, the brain's metabolic decrease never exceeds more than about 10% that of relaxed awakening.

And regarding REM sleep and memory: The consolidation-process is not active; in order to remember a dream, you have to elaborate or write down the content of your consciousness at the moment of awakening, or else, the dream is forever lost.

I agree knatt, bells should ring and lights should flash, if ANYONE layman or professional tells you " the brain is not active"
