it is a i guess-
it all depends on a person-take for example rape victims-some of them go on with their lives,have families,kids,sex-and they are fine.others can't recover for a long time-so the same event causes different degree effects.
at least this is my logic,lol.

plus,counceling is proven not to be effective in treatment of ptsd-pills work better.
