Hemoreceptors have a role in regulation of ventilation and in regulation of blood pressure. Does anyone know to explain the role of hemoreceptors in regulation of arterial blood pressure?

it's chemoreceptors and there major role is to control ventilation! may hv some role to play in controlling blood pressure but still tht's not quite prevalent!

I agree with you that the main role of chemoreceptors is in regulation of ventilation. But they also have a small effect on blood pressure.

Let's see why. Hypoxia or hypercapnia. Chemoreceptors are stimulated. Tissues need more oxygen and need to get rid of CO2, so we should increase ventilation and blood pressure (perfusion).

Chemoreceptors send signals to respiratory centre (for increasing ventilation), and from the respiratory centre some of the signals go to vasomotor centre (for increasing arterial blood pressure).
