hai everybody! i started following forum since i wrote my step1 which was on april 14th.i read exam experiences n got relaxed a bit bcoz the day i wrote the exam i felt i would just make a score of 85+.my exam included a lot of questions from micro.., pharma..,patho n physiology.Most of the questions were abt 6-7lines n it took me lot of time reading n understanding them. but at last my score is 92,even though it doesn't sound as 99 i think it is not abad score. my usmle CD's score 45,42,38.kaplan simulated was 78.i didnot take online kaplan qbank. ok bye i will meet u again.

congratulations drz123, ofcourse its a great score...
oh...they r 6-7 lines long, what do u think of q, were they more difficult than kaplan simulated or nbme, usmle cd?? how much of diagrams/pictures?? were they difficult or u could guess from q stem?? would appreciate yr input....

hai rubyedward! u said abt the questions,they were easy but takes time 2 understand.they were a bit different from kaplanquestions but not tough i mean in pathology they were photos on ventricular rupture in MI n asked me how many days after MI this occurs,in GIT questions were easy abt ulcerative colitis n mese..artey embolism by showing the photos of intestines.
in pharmacology questions were similar to that of kaplan's,mostly bar diagrams as in kaplan questions asking agonist &antagonist drugs given inthe choices.i just say tht if ur confident on our subject u can easily get on with the exam.one thing i can say u tht even though they were longquestions they were not confusing but v feel tht wht v r thinking is correct r not.micro questions were easy if u read kaplan notes twice n retain it in ur memory,they were straight forward.i didn't do nbme so i hav no idea but i can say u tht kaplan notes helps us alot.read goligan path notes beside just reading kap..patho..notes.webpath also will be useful.ok i hope this may help u,if u hav doubts ask me.byye.

hai 99doc, thanks.
u asked me abt the exam experiences i tell u it was very sad once i came out i was not able 2 judge myself after the exam as answers i gav were just on understanding questions.few questions i came home n checked them.i read kaplan notes n goligan notes for patho a long with kaplan notes.i worked out lot of questions 15days before exam even though i hav done before.ok if u hav any questions ask me bbbyee.

for pathology, i'm doing kaplan notes, FA,goljan review and kaplan Qbank. do u think its enough or should i need anything else. plz advice
