Hi there,
Well I am currently a landed Immigrant in Canada,and I have my exxam scheduled for the next month,but I am having no luck at securing an appointment for the visa at my nearest Consular office,actually there is none available till after the exam..I am not sure what other options I have .Please can someone who has any exerience with such a situation help me out.I would really appreciate that,thanks alot for any advise

If you are ready to go to another city than you can try some other office. Although they prefer that you apply in your area consulate office nly but as you dont have any other choice, you can try other canadian city.
Or you can check online everyday and in case you find any new spot vacant due to any cancellation just pick it up.
If either thing doesn't works out than I think you have to change your exam date or better try calling the consulate office maybe they can accomodate you.

Thanks alot for your help..I am going to give them a call tomorrow and lets see what happens. I hope they understand my position! What exactly did you take to show your ties to Canada,bcoz I am unemployed right now? Thank you for helping me out

I dont think i had to show them anything except my passport and SIN etc.
And let me know what their answer is cuz i myself amfacing lot of probs.

Surprisingly I got the appointment,after wasting 2 hrs on the web.Turns out people do cancell their appointments.So nonstopdoc you do the same thing and you would be fine.GL
Let me know if there is anyother documentation I need to take with me.THANKS for helping me
