Whats the difference between operant and classical conditioning and give an example.?

They are both learning processes Classical conditioning : stimulus A------------------------------> response B stimulus A+ condition A' ------------->response B condition A'-------------->response B Add a conditional stimulus to the unconditional and you build an association so that when you present the conditional stimulus alone you get the same response. classical example is Pavlov's dog:food+bell----salivation / bell---salivation or seing someone in a white coat, brings a sick child to tears. Operant conditioning: behavior----->reward -positive reinforcer: something you do to obtain the positive consequence: studying hard to pass step 1 -negative reinforcer:something you do to ovoid the negative consequence: waking up to turn the alarm clock off.
