ans is C
only severe asthma is absolute CI in case of MI
though beta blockers shud not be used in all other mentioned conditions normally but in case of MI they reduce mortality and can be used

I goes with E even if some items are contraversial but the whole question suggests E as an answer

"Beta blocker therapy after AMI thus is useful for most patients except those in whom it is specifically contraindicated (patients with heart failure or severely compromised LV function, heart block, orthostatic hypotension, or a history of asthma)"
Indeed, HF, in some patients might be a CI for the use of beta-blockers, esspecially in those in wich hypotension is a threat. But in this case, the patient has HTN wich means a high afterload wich is not quite beneficial in AMI from what I remember...

A) 59yrs old male with CHF
In this patient the ideal drug is bete blocker but not other once so I will go for A

the fragment of text about Beta Blockers CI in CHF, must be the older text. By placing people with CHF on beta blockers, carefull at that!!!, you prevent further remodeling of myocytes.

Anyway, C is the answer, as already stated by Mash.
