1st of all is cortisol secreted by pituitary gland.??...disapproval

2nd gonadotropin is also a tropic hormone.....release of testosteroneshaking head.

Prolactin is correct answer......nod

awwww i meant to say ACTH ,well i agree abt sex steroids but is it correct to call these regulators of those sex steroids as trophic???

I think so, because they also have in their name "tropin" (gonadotropin, somatotropin, adrenocorticotropin, thyreotropin)

Tropic hormone.....hormones that act on other endocrine glands to secrete hormonally active substances......wink

Just to add that ACTH doesn't have big influence on secretion of aldosteron and adrenal androgens, but it has a great influence on cortizol secretion.

As far as I know its called prolactin inhibitory factor somehow indirectly antagonisted by dopamine.

prolactin inhibitory factor is released by hypothalamus not pituitary gland.......
