i am not sure about acidification, but you increase fluid intake along with antibiotics (TMP-SMX)

Alkalinization of the urine will further precipitate the MAP stones. Fluids and antibiotics are given and the stone should be removed as they are a consant source of infection

normaly, struvite nephrolitiasis come with urinery infection, bacteria catalyse urine and produce ammoniem, in turn lead magnesiemammoniem kidney stones. it the sencond popular one! account about 15 per cent! so, antibiotics should be indispensible!
