Hello all,

I see a lot of people here mention the "NMBE tests" as a means of gauging yourself a week or two before the exam to see if you're ready. Which tests are these? The official ones that get released (i.e. that disc they send you that has Step 1,2, and 3 exams)? Or are people referring to exams from some private company (like Kaplan)?

www.nbme.org have 2 tests for $45 each that accurately predict your actual score in the real exam. Each test has 4 blocks of 50 (46 for step 2) questions and are well worth doing. They are written by the same organisation that sets the USMLE so question type and difficulty are almost identical
