yeah doc..ur right FA is best to do after u hav the subject!!
biochem dne frm kaplan notes along wth the lectures and i thnk u husld be good to go cyra...i feel in biochem u need ample of revision to master tht subject....soo try dng tht all the time...
as for me im dne wth my patho revision bt didnt finish my FA...soo will be dng tht everyday fr 1-2hrs....yest i started wth micro....fungal ws wht i started it wth...and im happy tht imdne wth it...will solve questions on thm 2day and start viro....
hoping to finish micro in ths week as buggs i had almost dne before bt gt fed up and left it....hoping ths time wnt commit tht mistake...
hav a productive day guys....

great going kaira....keep up with the micro bit...it tends to get a bit dry and stuff...from what i remember from med school...but u will be fine...good luck!

hav started wth buggs now .....bt its taking more time thn i imagined....hoping to finish it by 2mrw....mmrs..a gr8 book for micro.its helps me to actually remember!! bt it takes time.....well thn its worth the time........
started wth FA side by side everyday of the corresponding topic i read tht day and yes the patho and physio which i havnet yet finished frm it..
hoping to finish micro by sunday and starting wth a new subject on monday.....maybe pharmac.......
i knw i knw im aming very high...bt its always good to aim high isnt it???
now back to studying

heyy buddy!!....it is always good to aim high...you are right...and i am sure you will be able to get everything done in time...and start pharma from monday...just keep your goals realistic...donot push yourself too hard though...we donot want to be burnt out by the end of the first read!!.... ...might not be able to log in for a about 5 days...am off with family...vacation!...the books go with me though...hehe...i hope you have an amazingly productive week ahead of you..take good care...

hey no worries cyra.....even if u dnt read on ur vacation im sure whn u cm back...u will be refreshed and good to go wth ur studies in full swing!!for now just enjoy and hav fun....
didnt finish micro on time.....bt 2day atlast im dne wth it....didnt do genetics..bt will catch tht subject later as i dnt wnt to do any boring subject now....
had thought of starting pharmac...soo listened to the ans lect...and now will start wth reading the notes........
2days goal finish ans and cvs pharmacology....and doo FA along wth it...

atlast gt the courage of writing my diary.....thnx cyra u were the motivation fr me to write my diary...
last weekend had a marriage in the family soo many people were home and just cudnt manage to read a word..bt had soo much fun.and thn suddenly after the marriage ws over all were gne and me again alone ........its soo difficult to stay alone away frm home (im staying in US after marriage soooo far frm my home country)....ws a bit depressed fr 2 days i culd hardly study....i didnt finish anythng on time ... pharmac is remaning and genetics...hw will i complete everythng on time??
just gt bored frm all ths soo listened to anatomy lectures yest and finished gross anatomy thorax...
last night i mad up my mind of nt letting my emotions hamper my studies soo gt up early in the morning and started my day wth my diary.....
now tht i hav started anatomy will continue wth it by finishing most of the gross anatomy 2day....im dng it frm kaplan notes and first aid...is tht enough fr gross???
im trying to finish my 1st read as soon as possible so tht will start solving questions....
i hope i hav a productive day 2day atleast!!
hoping god will give us strength and wisdom to fight all the battles in our life...

heyy buddy!!!!good to have u back...
i understand it is very difficult to be away from home and your loved ones...and especially when you are admist everyone like for a wedding...the after math is even worse...but trust me...you will be fine...i was away from my family through out premed and even medschool....but in the end you just have to have a strong resolve...just think of good times ahead...you will get to go home and see everyone once you are done with this exam......i am glad you got a hold of everything and started studying...keep it up!!....i have heard kaplan is good enough for anatomy...esp the neuroanatomy bit...the lesions and stuff...although i might just end up using high yield for anatomy....i just think what ever sources you have are good enough as long as you are comfortable with them...and can manage to answer questions...heres hoping you did have a productive day...fill me in on how you are doing...shall be praying for you....so no worries!!...

yup!! thts hw i keep on pacifying myself cyra.....after exams i will be gng home
the last 2 days were good....trying to get my mind back to studies .......fnished wth thorax,abd and upper and lower limbs gross and its corresponding embryo which i m dng fr HY....gross i thnk kaplan is fine.....hoping to start hfn 2day..and also hoping to finish anatomy by ths weekend.........
next week want to finish my back log which i hav piled up by nt studying fr soo many days........
feeling better 2day...soo now back to studies

heyy!!!great to know you are back to studying with increased fervour!!...hope you got done with anatomy fine....doing embryology side by side is perfect....will prove fruitful!don't worry about the stuff piled up...you will get it done....fill me in on how everything is soon!...take care

my pile up is getng bigger and bigger......... and its all my fault....just cudnt study fr soo many days again......god... feel like kicking my self....
for the last 8 days i hav just managed to finish gross and embryo.....started neuro yest and trying to finish it by 2mrw
july 1....ws the day i ws gng to start solving by finishing my 1st read ....bt i feel im still miles away fr my 1st read....
hoping to finish my neuro by 2mrw soo tht cn start solving anat.......soo here i goo

hey kaira....donot think about the days you could not study....it's ok...not like you had a choice with the wedding and stuff...finishing off gross and embryology in 8 days is not bad at all...seriously...i haven't done gross as yet...but i thought i would put aside a week for that...but after reading your post...i am thinking of giving it four days...just like you have......so no worries....you are doing fine!....where are you doing neuroanatomy from...i have high yield...but have heard kaplan is good too...esp the lectures on the brainstem lesions and stuff...i would suggest giving neuro some more time...not just two days...don't rush it....just want to reassure you that its all good....just keep at it...and stay focussed....good luck!!

anatomy ws never my cup of tea.........i ws a bad anat student in medical college and the trends still continues ..........becz of tht my studying hrs hav reduced and also my motivation....for the last 4 days trying to do neuro and havnt finished it yet...hopefully by 2mrw i get lucky.....
1st the dilemma frm which book shuld i read ...........after i figured tht out....thn later solving q book a little and seeing my performance in it had to hit the books again........
so u see im still fighting wth neuro....
as long as the books go cyra.. ..i thought HY ws better .........kaplan is good in brain stem lesions and spinal cords tract bt u knw HY is more better thn tht becz of the good diagrams and the pattern...every topic is divided properly fr better undersnding and will be a good review book also fr the last minute rivisions.........
i had started wth kaplan 1st bt somehow it gt boring and confusing....soo i switched over to HY....after ths now i hope i do good in q book....
just as u said cyra 2 days r definately nt enough fr neuro....its a very time consuming subject..........hoping to finish ths dreadful subject by 2mrw

50-55% on q book fr anat...i knw its nt good bt i thnk i will take it and move on....as i hav spend more thn enough time on anat.....hoping to catch a better score in my later readings.........
as fr now 2day hav started biochem reading frm FA and thn will start solving q book
hoping in 2 days will be over wth it........

hey kaira....long time...yes!....just been busy with stuff at home...just could not log in...glad to know you are done with anatomy....it is a good thing that you have moved on even though you are not too satisfied with your score....i experienced the same thing with microbiology....and i just moved on...could not remeber much at all once i started doing Q bank...was disappointed and dejected...but just moved on...so i think we shall make up for any deficiencies in our later reviews....another resolution is to be more regular in writing my daily progress...just slacked off a bit...)...you take care...and good luck with biochem and the question solving...

solving q book fr biochem ,bumped too many genetics q.....and too my misery just cudnt solve many of thm as havnt given a read on genetics since i did it last say 4-5months.....whn i ws nt tht serious studying.........
soo now back wth the books fr genetics........
listened to the audio since morning and almost half way thro......hoping to finish the audio and fa on genetics 2day soo tht i can read kaplan notes 2mrw.............and thn will solve q book again.........
trying to finish my 2day goal.......

Genetics SUCKS!!!!....join the club buddy!!!....but not like we have a choice...here's what i did....made little note cards for questions i got wrong...made tables for the various autosomal recessive and dominant diseases etc with the chromosome involved and clinical features....for future reference...suggest u do the same cos it will save you the trouble of looking through the books....the lectures on genetics are great...and your speed of reviewing is good too....am sure you will do well at the questions after u have reviwed genetics...the very best of luck kaira!

even after dng genetics my scores didnt improve.........gt most of the genetics right bt kind of forgt the dam biochem....auggg!!!
maybe my stratergy ws wrong or my reading ??? tht i tend to forgt soo easily???
soo here im now back to square 1.........
soo sat whole of sunday afternoon thnking wht to doo and before it causes a dent in my study i changed the whole schedule.......ws paning to solve only q book and doo fa.....bt now will start reading kaplan notes too...
soo before solving every subject will revise it 1st and thn solve....i knw i knw its time consuming bt doo i hav any option???? any other suggestions r welcome...
i thnk another reading may do the trick.....soo started wth biochem
finishe the 1st 7 chapters in kaplan and started metab....
2days goal.....finish metab...and solve q book in the night...
hoping to hav a satisfied score 2day atleast!!!

Kaira...good to hear from you...its been a while...hey don't worry aout genetics... we tend to find it difficult cos we are not really taught genetics in depth in our schools...its dumb but thats how it is...so donot let that dampen ur spririts...see we not only have to learn a new subject but also have to learn how to practically apply it...which comes only with repetition...and that does take time!...
and your strategy of revising before going through q book....that is the logical thing to do....subjects that u did a couple of months ago are bound to be rusty...just give a quick review...donot read in detail...u must have high lighted imp points...that shud help...it is actually an added adavantage if u go through the text while solving questions...it will be like an additional reading...i think you have made the right decision...stay consistent...nail this thing!!!good luck!

now im determined to write my diary almost everyday soo i be on track or i tend to wander

cudnt finish metab yest so will do it 2day...lipid metabolisim is remaning and thn will start FA.....
