if secondary to MI moniter and treat with atrophine...may recover to normal rhythm once ischemia is corrected.. if persistent after MI/ if due to other etiologies, heart block is treated when symptomatic in 1st and 2 nd degree type 1 with atrophine 2nd degree type2 and 3rd degree pace maker is must...

treat bradycardia only when symptomatic. brady. associated with heart block..Mobitz II or 3rd degree ultimately will need a pacemaker. in the mean time if the patient becomes unstable u can give atropine, dopamine....if hypotensive even after atropine dobutamine or transvenous pacing.
