okay about me.
i joined the forum few days back though knew about it since last year.
this is my 2nd attempt on step1.got 18174 last time(gave exam on 28 jan.) :cry:
so i started it all over again.it hurt for a few days.but soon it was all over.
i started in march just after my results,didnot have idea about oasis trick earlier. :P
so now i have completed golgan patho(audio later),kaplans.
physio brs & kaplan.
now doing pharma lipincott.hope to finish pharma by sunday along with kaplans & qeustions from katzung.
doing qeustions from BSS subjectwise off &on.
Actually i plan to finish my reading of entire books by may end.
then start with qeustions.
i know it sounds boring,but i will go with it.
doing q in june & go in for kaplans online course for 1 month.
revising where ever need be.
then giving the final touch in july&
CATCH HOLD OF STEP 1 AROUND JULY END.
now going to catch up with my pharma.done 250 pages out of the 500 in lipincott.

hey.....u have 3 more months to go, and u will make the best use of it, and so keep refreshed, u can do it!!!! u r going to crack the exam with great mark this time around!!!!!
we can do this exam provided with reasonable source, good health and time....what we need is a little support from the family and friends.
so buddy, go for it!!!!!
i'm doing my exam this month and i'm trying my best. so u have one more buddy beside u cracking this exam....
so good luck and productive studying....

let me thank all of you for ur encouraging words.thanks for ur advice.
to berkleyboy,ok so u could figure that out. it also signifies my batch.i started as 99 batch medical student.just finished my graduation in dec.its said always aim for the sun,u might not reach it but u will land up having something better than if u aim low.
anyways i feel i will get the sun.
to rubyedward thanks for ur encouraging words.
BEST OF LUCK WITH YOUR EXAM &STUDIES.u must giving the final touches as with just 1 month left.so study hard.go in for lots of q,practice atleast 1 full length exam,it will give u an idea about ur speed,about break times&u will feel comfortable on ur D-day.
last day was not that productive.did 30 pages of lipincott for pharma.did a test of 30 q.got 50 percent only. 
i will definately do better today.starting with antimicrobials. 
i wish to ask,i have the habit of taking a nap at around 3 in the afternoon.but some say it leads ur body to slow down at that time,so u should avoid sleeping between 8 to 5.
but i cant work properly without it.so what should i do,leave this habit or continue till near my exam. :?:

where are you from? the term "batch" isn't used too much over hear in the US, instead we say "class." I hear students from malaysia and the philippines use "batch" very often.

sorry berkleyboy,lets not get that personal.
so,i completed 80 pages.that was good.
but some drugs i forget,like which drug in which disease&which microbe.
think i should make a chart.
found some q on this forum v.v.tough.though they were of patho&i have done it.seems i need 2 revision before i go on for kaplans online.
NO BODY HAD SUGESTIONS ABOUT THAT NAP PROBLEM? :?: :?:
anyways,will cotinue with pharma.hope to finish it in 2 days.best of luck to me. :lol: :lol:

completed pharma.will do physio&pharma from FA,q from katzung&go thruogh the kaplans pharma.this plan is for sat&sunday.
planing to start micro from monday.

Your plan sounds good. Good work 99doc.
Can I ask you a quick question? How are you finding Katzung? In my med school here no one's heard of it, but I know that ssrpk recommended it too. We haven't had most of our pharma teaching yet so I don't understand all the pharma points in FA, so would you recommend getting Katzung. Any advice wold be much appreciated.

Thanks usmlerock for ur good wishes.how are ur studies going on?
Moctopod,so i read ur diary.u r planning ur step in july.same here.
as far as katzung is concerned,i am using katzung review for qeustions only.that is not going thruogh its chapters.i follow lipincott as my standard book for usmle,it has lots of funny illustrations to make ur learning easy.in my medical school however i had done katzung's basic book.
what u do,if u have not started to stick to any pharma book,have a look at both,then make ur mind.but personally i will go for lipincott.that book is a gem.makes pharma look a great deal better.good luck.

it was not a very productive weekend.my sis had a foot sprain,i had an ache in my arm,i wonder why?MI,HA,HA,HA........
no excuses please.did only FA pharma.so i still have to do physio FA,kaplans&katzung q.
i think i should give one more day to all this &start with micro from tomorrow.

don't worry.....pharma is just a time-consuming subject to finish!!! i got little dizzy last night reading pharma about drugs MOA and about their competitive and non competitive inhibition properties...gosh!! i'm doing now the diagrams with arrows...
but u can do it!!! good work with katzung!!

i am still stuck up with katzung.but i am going to stick to it too.
reminds me of stickjock(a sweet we got in our school,it used to stick to our teeth like anything,but still we relished it)
so over to the katzung(after all it has 1000 q,u can't do it so soon.
ofcourse i will have to replan after this katzung is under control.
