Which site of Hb has greatest affinity for O2??
a)Site 1
b)Site 2
c)Site 3
d)Site 4

site 2.
requires lowest %oxygen.
site 4 has least affinity.

Is it require lowest % of O2 or low PaO2 for binding of O2???

the kaplan mentions PO2.
i think it implies to arterial blood.

Why not site 1. O2 always remain attached under physiologic condition.

its for sure site 1 which has greatest affinity to O2 such that under almost every condition O2 remains attachted to it.

it's not site 1..... despite the fact tht it does remain attached to oxygen under physiologic condition however it's not the pressure tht keeps it attached......once it is displaced it is extremely difficult to attch O2 at site 1
