it causes oxalate crystals
oxalate stones are due to primary intestinal diseases mostly.like in inflammatory bowel diseases.
increased bowel fat combines with intraluminal calcium,hence no calcium to combine with oxalate.it gets absorbed.any small increase inoxalate forms stone.
treatment control diarhoea/steatorrhoea or give calcium supplements with meals.

I know IBD causes oxalate stone. but according to Kaplan's note, Crohn disase also causes uric acid stone. why? :?: :?: :?:
