If patients in hypertension emergency have the following different conditions, whta should be used? what should NOT be used?

a. acute left ventricular failure
b. aortic dissection
c. pheochromocytoma

b. esmolol or labetalol
Nitropruside increases left ventricular contractility and contributes to intimal dissection . Do not give alone - always give with beta blocator .
c. phentolamine .

You are right.

for a and c, don't use beta-blockers.
for b, don't use vasodilators.
