i got 79 in step 2 and 93 in step 1. what are my chances of getting internal medicine. i dont require j1 and i have permanent usa visa

a visa is never permanent. it gives you temporary entry or stay in a country other than your origin. what do you mean by "permanent visa"? are you talking about permanent residence, otherwise known as immigrant? :-k the best route to take in finding out your chances is to find out from the state you're in, what their requirements are for entering residency, then start calling or getting in touch with im residency programs in your state. :wink: if we're program directors, we might be able to give you specifics, but since we're not, your best bet is ask the program directors themselves. good luck! :icon_salut:

some say step II is more important than step I. I really don't know what PDs think. But my guess is you still have a decent chance of getting IM somewhere. Apply and find out! Good luck!
