A patient has hyperlipidemia. before medication therapy, we use diet modification for about 6 months, usually from step 1 diet. Use step2 if step 1 diet doesn't work. Question is: how long we use step 1 and 2 diet? totoally 6 months or 12 months (use each for 6 months)?
