how many intervertebral disks are there?

  #2

32 intervertebral disks

  #3

how did u get this number,32??

  #4

From the atlas to the coccyx I count 7cervical, 12thoracic, 5 lumbar, sacrum and coccyx vertebrae. I do not see any intervertebal disk between sacrum and coccyx. Im counting from the articulation of the atlas/ axis( which causes rotation of the head ) and ending at the last lumbar sacral articultion, sacral/coccyx looks FUSED to me. So im going with the same # 24. 7+ 12+5=24
hint-(usually damage is around L3,L4,L5)

the answer is 23-24

23-24 is correct- and sounds about right:
6 cervical,12thoracic,5 lumbar-so there are 23 and one between sacrum and coccix.
...I think so?
