Hi Everyone,
I just got done with step 1 and all set to get going for Step 2 CK..
I needed some beginner's advice as to how to approach it..I have Kaplan Notes and planning to sign up for USMLE world..what else shd I consider..CMDT important?
Also,how long before I can start having sleepless nights over the result for Step 1....does it take 4 weeks exact?

As far as prepping for step 2 goes, if you have the cash, I would start out with Qbank 2 months before exam day, do it the first month or so, and the last month do USMLE-world. A week-five days before exam do NBME test 1 and the questions on the USMLE webpage. Then you can compare your scores with others on this forum to see if you are ready or if you should postpone.
As for step 1 results, usually OASIS is updated on the 3rd or 4th week after you took the exam. My step 1 results took about two months, but that was extraordinary. They were lost in the mail and I had to write a letter to the ECFMG and ask for a copy. The copy and the original arrived on the same day... :-/
Sadly, it looks like my step 2 scores will have a similar fate, I took the test on March 24th and there is still nothing in OASIS... ARGH.
