When skeletal muscle is in its resting state, myosin cross bridges are prevented from binding to actin molecules by w/c of the ff:

A. calmodulin
B. troponin
C. tropomyosin
D. titin
E. phospholamban

The answer is C

When skeletal muscle fibers are at rest tropomyosin inhibits the interaction bet. actin & myosin. The inhibition is removed when Ca binds to troponin.
