Can any brave soul explain the differences betwen these 2 cranial nerves?

alright, let me try this one...

CN IX: Glossopharyngeal Nerve

the functional components are that it supplies motor innervation to stylopharyngeus, sensory to pharynx, carotid body, secretomotor to parotid gland, sensory and taste sensation to posterior 1/3 of the tongue

Lesion sould result in loss of gag reflex

CN X- Vagus Nerve

the functional components are the it supplies muscles of pharynx, larynx and soft palate. sensory to GIT(foregut and midgut)

Lesion affecting Vagus Nerve would result it:
Nasal regurgitation, hoarseness of voice, flatenning of palatal arch, dysphagia, nasal speech and uvula is leaning away from the lesioned side.
