4yo after MVC, not on seat belt, multiple bruises on his chest,
BP:110/70
pulse:100
RR: 30 grunting and retraction
ABG on 40%oxygen: PH:7.40 PO2:66 PCO2:34
X-Ray after 4hrs:diffuse infltrates in right lung

Diagnosis?
a.ARDS
b.aspiration pneumonia
c.fat embolism
d.flail chest
e.pulmonary contusion

pls explain

Even though pulm contusion can cause ARDS, there is no clear indication at this point that ARDS has occured.
