Kaplan Qbank USMLE

HI guys!
I thought to share my exam. experiences with you all as you were my support in that haunted time....step2 really sucked me. special thanks to son64,retroviridae,ELM,fat_goiter,asmi,lander,PM&R_dude & many more...I just forgot that night are made to sleep. All my circadian rhythm changed. sometimes used to study till morning :icon_study: :_online_: &sleep in the daytime. sometime thought, all sort of disease symptoms are present me.....anxiety,personality disorders, gastritis, dvt, backache etc.
But now pretty much relaxed...
I prepared for 3 months for the exams. did kaplan notes, kaplan qbook, kap mock exam, live lecture videos & some q bank questions...could not complete all.
Day before was terrible....went to sleep at 11Pm but get up at 5Am...was dreaming i got late...... inspite of putting alarm.
Time was just flying in the exam.....in one block some questions left unanswered.rest completed on time...though could not review the marked questions. all the nerve connections in brain got short circuited till end of the exams. :icon_boom: some questions were very lenghty...choices upto L,M. I beleive kaplan notes & q book are must for this exam. My advice is if you run short of time say 15 sec. just mark any series to all questions which are left sayA or B....last question will be there on screen to read it all and answer taking your time..but this time will be deducted from total 1hr break period.
some questions were from step 1 subjects. so i will advice to take step1 before step2 if you can otherwise study biostatics & psycho pharmacology...... lets see the result...

Please pray for me [-o< [-o< [-o<
best of luck to all who are travelling on the same boat.

please do questions only in the last month of your preparation....look for week points from the text.Revise your int. medicines notes atleast.
Now i know some questions i answered wrong #-o so not confident about the result.....but i passed my plab1 exam. that i appeared 2wks before the step2.

more next time....

please suggest how to start for step1 & what to study? <:help:>

Question: Did you recall if you had a lot of Step 1 material in your exam? Such as anatomy, histology, embryology, immunology, biochemistry, physiology... etc?

I think a lot of the Review Material for Step 2 does not stress this enough...

hi r753_2000

I don't think there were direct questions from step1 material but 10-20% quest. were from step1.they were doable, only basic stuff were asked that you will know after reading step2 material. but step2 becomes easier if you have given step1 earlier. now i am reading pathology & it feels that i am revising my medicine part. only diff. is, not much emphasis on treatment & management. Lot of pharmacology part was there in management of clinical cases & psychiatry questions.

everything was asked...hope i answered your query.
