what are the criteria that decides the fate of an img when they apply to competitive programs like

2.derm

2. I know just one IMG who got radiology. Step 1 99, Step 2 97.
It took her a lot of effort to get into the program. It wasn't just ERAS application. She kept calling the PD, asking for a meeting, telling about her Rad publications, etc.
In other words it is rather an exception for IMG to get there.
